What You Will Do?

The Finance Manager, Procurement is responsible for providing strategic and operational financial leadership to the Global Procurement Category organization. You will play a crucial role alongside procurement category leaders in driving and capturing value through 3rd party spend optimization as well as maximizing free cash flow opportunities.

The 3rd party spend scope amounts to ~$8Bn annualy across all geographies and categories such as Materials, Logistics, Marketing, Corporate Services amongst others, and so this role requires both detailed analytics as well as the ability to operate with a big picture perspective to best partner with various stakeholder groups. Your ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships will be essential in driving collaboration and alignment on strategic objectives across functional and finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities-

  • Provide financial leadership to the Global Procurement Category organization; providing accurate financial analysis and insights to help identify and quantify cost optimization opportunities and manage spend effectively
  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess the financial viability of potential procurement initiatives and make recommendations to senior management
  • Support the procurement goals and initiatives to improve free cash flow generation through policy proposals and identification of opportunities to address supplier payment terms
  • Build close partnerships with the functional finance teams (e.g., SC, commercial, IT, HR etc.) to ensure there is a direct link between savings achieved on 3rd party spend and the functional budgets that they impact, align on the spend bridge building blocks
  • Pro-actively bring forward financial insights with an outside-in mentality; for instance what are the relevant market trends that might impact us or present opportunities linked with our 3rd party spend; or what insight can we gather by targeted comparisons with other market leaders
  • Lead the business planning & financial update processes from a Global Procurement Category perspective alongside category teams and functional finance, focused on 3rd party spend evolution, savings and payment terms. Drive the monthly consolidation process of actuals; highlighting critical insights and trends, articulation of size / certainty of any risk or opportunity in closing gaps to targets etc.
  • Develop and deliver financial trainings / onboardings for our procurement business partners to elevate the financial acumen across the business, as well as pro-actively supporting the roll-out & application of the Kenvue Savings Policy
  • Participate in the development and implementation of financial & procurement policies to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks
  • Manage and coach a team of 1 – 3 finance professionals, supporting their professional growth and development
  • A minimum of a b achelor’s degree is r equired preferably a major in Accounting or Finance
  • A CPA, CMA, or other financial certifications are preferred
  • At lest 6 years of finance experience across a broad range of finance functions
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, with proficiency in Excel and other financial software. Experience with using Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate complex concepts in order to educate and influence a broad range of business partners including senior management
  • Leadership qualities including the ability to motivate and manage a team; prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and matrixed environment, managing multiple priorities with attention to detail
